Holly (Ounapuu) has lived and created art in Paris, Ontario for the last 21 years. “I was delighted to find myself in Paris – such an inspirational place!” “It’s my pleasure to be a founding member of Kindred Spirits Artisans of Paris – still going strong since 1991!”
Holly works at her art full time – finding lots of colourful and lively subject matter close at hand – the gardens, historical buildings and beautiful natural setting of her charming hometown find their way in her creative works. “I find the playful and textural quality of acrylic paint suits my artistic sensibility – its fast, fun and results are immediate”
Colour is a key element in Holly’s artwork – she creates art that evokes an emotional response – “colour is a key element in my work – that’s usually what’s leads me off in hot pursuit of a particular subject.”
When attempting to define her style – Holly states that her art is "loosely based on reality"
