Beadweaving is the perfect medium for some one who is easily distracted by all things shiny. I have used my years of experience with sewing, knitting, crochet, paint and colour matching to explore this intricate and challenging technique.
Glass, crystal, semi precious stones and a variety of other elements combine to create everyday and special occasion pieces for all ages. I have taken a wide assortment of classes and I am always learning stitches, some of which are hundreds of years old. I have gone on to make my own designs and also to teach classes myself.
I have lived much of my life in and around Paris, Ontario. Being a person with interest in arts and crafts, it was pretty much a given that I would eventually become part of the Kindred Spirits artisan group in town. This group is a great place to pool ideas and to share experiences. Look for me at Christmas in Paris every November.
